We Arrive!

We Arrive!
Tutt Stapp-McKiernan

After months of waiting, hoping, planning, imagining, and anticipating by administration, faculty, staff, students, and parents, the Wakefield community reunited today on the hill for the first time since departing campus for the start of spring break in March. And what a reunion it has been!

Despite the inevitable long line-up for morning arrival as everyone adjusts to important but unfamiliar new safety procedures, Director of Admission Gray Carr Bridgers set an upbeat tone for curbside temperature checks in her sporty “nurse’s cap,” and smiles and good humor were abundant amid the haste--and could be easily read behind everyone’s mask. Classes soon commenced, with the Wakefield campus immediately put to use for safe and inspiring outdoor learning spaces.

It was The Big Day, at last! As newly-minted JK student Zander Creeger put it, “I haven’t been this excited about anything for a long, long time!”
