Before arriving in the U.S. nineteen years ago, Marleny taught I.S.L for eight years in a private school in Colombia and continued her teaching career at Wakefield School in August 2013. She has always held herself to high standards. At the New York English Institute in Colombia, she quickly rose from teaching introductory English courses to the most advanced level in one of Pereira city's most prestigious and comprehensive I.S.L programs. Marleny is proud of her work ethic and ability to inspire her students and earn respect from her colleagues, administrators, and students alike. Marleny's hobbies include riding a bicycle, jogging, hiking, dancing, reading, etc.
