Karen Murphy is an experienced educator with a rich academic background, having earned her Bachelor's degree from Brooklyn College and her Master's in Education from NYU. With twenty-three years of teaching, encompassing grade levels ranging from pre-kindergarten to third grade, including ESOL instruction for kindergarten to fifth grade, Karen brings a wealth of expertise to Wakefield School. Her teaching philosophy centers around making learning a blend of fun and challenge, and she takes great pride in witnessing children acquire knowledge through playing games. On a personal note, Karen is the devoted mother of two boys who are proud students at Wakefield, reinforcing her strong connection to our school community.
