Somewhere in Jennifer's 'save forever' box is a composition she wrote in high school. Her teacher wrote: 'Lovely, worth pursuing.' Though it took many years and a few career changes, Jennifer finally pursued writing as a profession for a decade of her life. Now, she helps students find their voice and learn the skills to read and write critically. While Jennifer has taught at Wakefield for six years, she's 'been' at Wakefield since 2007, when her two older daughters began as lifers in Pre-K with Mrs. Bohardt and Mrs. Casey. Now seniors in college, and with her youngest a junior in high school, the Handford's Wakefield journey is coming to a close. However, Jennifer is still happy to ascend the beautiful hill each day and do her best to help the junior class through a significant year.
