Carolyn began her career in education just after college by joining the Philadelphia Teaching Fellows, a nonprofit organization that trains young educators to work in underserved communities in inner-city Philadelphia. After teaching various science classes to eighth through twelfth-grade students for three years, she moved south and wrote an online science curriculum for junior kindergarten to twelfth grade until joining Wakefield in January 2018. As the Auxiliary Director and a Middle School Science teacher at Wakefield, Carolyn enjoys developing new programs that encourage students to experience the world around them in a different way. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, their furry friends, and caring for the bees in their apiary.
