Karissa joined Wakefield in 2022 with over a decade of experience in nonprofit development and a passion for getting children more involved in environmental stewardship. She holds a BS in Biological Sciences, an MS in Nonprofit Management, and an MBA. In addition to fundraising, Karissa enjoys utilizing her skills, knowledge, and network by making meaningful connections for the school. When not at work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, from working in the garden to teaching her two children about native and edible plants found in nature.
