Spanning a career of over 40 years as an environmental scientist, chemist, biologist, and ecologist, Charles Botwick has gained a multidisciplinary perspective to share with students. He considers it a great privilege and joy to enable and mentor students to appreciate and understand the world around them and the significance and importance of their informed interaction. He has traveled to over 50 countries, chaired presentations on Environmental Technologies at the White House, advised the Pentagon on environmental cleanup efforts, and consulted for over 150 companies and countries. From this experience, he hopes to mentor students who look to STEM careers or just to be well educated. He loves being a part of Wakefield, which he considers to foster the development of the whole person, provide agency (voice and choice), and is a special place with a great atmosphere for learning and growing. Otherwise, he loves to play tennis and pickleball, cook and do puzzles, and learn languages (over ten so far!)
