Get Involved

Volunteering is a Wakefield value.

It’s also a rewarding way to engage in the full experience of what it means to be part of the Wakefield family. We offer many opportunities to enjoy the fun of making things happen. All volunteers will find a warm welcome!

The Wakefield PArent's Association

Wakefield's Parents' Association (WPA) is an active and energetic organization for parents of Wakefield students. This all-volunteer group sponsors several events and activities throughout the year to foster a cooperative and cohesive spirit in our community, bring our families together, and support our teachers. All parents are welcomed and encouraged to be involved, as much or as little as they are able. There are many opportunities to match parents' interests and availability.

The Booster Club

The Wakefield Booster Club is a group of parents, faculty, staff, and friends that exists to positively support, promote, and enhance the experience of our student Athletes and Artists (performing and visual) as well as the larger Wakefield community.

Through membership dues and raffle and concession sales at various events and activities, the Boosters raise supplemental funds to "BOOST" needs identified by the Athletic Director and the Chair of the Arts Department. In addition, they provide support to other school events in collaboration with the Wakefield Parents' Association.

Joining the Booster Club and volunteering your time at school events are great ways to promote these student endeavors and help to build enduring spirit in and loyalty to our community.

The Annual Wakefield Auction

The Annual Wakefield Auction is a community celebration, bringing our families together in a fun, social atmosphere where great must-have items can be won with the highest bid. It also serves as the school's biggest fundraising event of the year, raising money for various areas of the school such as academics, arts, athletics, and financial aid. The event itself is organized and run with the help of talented volunteers who don't mind rolling up their sleeves to help out the school. The various opportunities (committees) for volunteering for the auction include: Live Auction, Silent Auction, Hospitality, Sponsorship, Catalog/Item Inventory, Decorations, and Communications.

If you are interested in helping with any of these Wakefield Auction activities, please contact Lisa Winick.
