HOMESTAY
Wakefield aspires to have as many of its international students as possible have their homestays with Wakefield families. This not only eases the logistics of vacation times, attendance at school events, etc., but also gives the visiting student a full-immersion experience in an American home where English is spoken full time.
International students are expected to make an effort to become part of the family by engaging in family activities, communicating needs and wants to the host parents, and obeying the host family's rules regarding behavior, internet use, bedtime, etc..
