Ms. McKiernan has been at Wakefield School since 1985, her entire career: 25 years in the English Department, and 13 years and counting in communications. Her passion for Wakefield has always been rooted in its unwavering commitment to teaching students to think and communicate with precision, clarity, and individuality. Her beyond-school passions include reading, writing, and the loves of her life: son Jamie, grandaughter Luci, cat Stella, wayward dog Obie, and husband of ten years Michael, with whom she is enthusiastically preparing their beach house in Avon, NC, for a much-anticipated retirement.
