Associate Development Director

Wakefield School is seeking a fulltime Associate Director of Development to begin July 1, 2018. Essential skills and requirements include:

  • 3 to 5 years development or fundraising experience, preferably in annual fundraising.
  • Experience with organizing and executing events.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Should be creative and energetic and able to communicate with people with a variety of relationships to the school.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with databases.
  • Conversant with social media platforms.
  • Desire to be a part of a team and be able to collaborate well with others.

Development Assistant

Wakefield School is seeking a fulltime Development Assistant to begin July 1, 2018. Essential skills and requirements include:

  • Proficiency with database management. Veracross experience a plus.
  • Data entry
  • Interface with Tech Director and Registrar
  • Reconcile donations with Business Office
  • Produce acknowledgements, receipts, lists, and reports as needed
  • Conversant with web and social media production/posting
  • Provide event support
  • Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with volunteers.

Assistant to the Head of Middle and Upper Schools

Wakefield School is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Head of Middle and Upper Schools. The ideal candidate should be an experienced administrative assistant capable of handling the demands of a very busy office, including working with students, parents, faculty, other administrators. This position works very closely with the Head of Middle and Upper Schools to provide administrative support, daily bulletins, attendance, division events, scheduling, and other functions as needed. Counselor for Lower and Middle Schools

Wakefield School is seeking a Counselor for the Lower and Middle Schools for the 2018-19 school year. This position works very closely with faculty, parents, and administrators regarding assessing needs, and developing/administering appropriate plans for students utilizing individual counseling services. An advanced degree and/or license in psychology or a clinical field is/are required. Candidate must have a working knowledge of childhood developmental theory and behavior modification theory and how it applies to emotional/behavioral issues. Substitute Teacher Openings:

Join the Wakefield Substitute list to be called on as needed in the Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools when a teacher is absent. Substitute teachers follow lesson plans and comply with any instructions from the Headmaster, Division Head or Department Chair. Substitute teachers are expected to conduct themselves with professionalism and exhibit the Wakefield courtesies in all interactions and communications at all times. Appropriate professional appearance is essential for a strong working and learning environment that is conducive to high student and staff performance. Professional attire includes, but is not limited to, collared shirts, dress slacks, dress coordinates, suits, dresses, ties and sport coats. Substitute teachers are expected to maintain the regular teacher’s time schedule, whatever that may be, report for duty at the time designated by the school and to remain on duty until the regular teacher’s dismissal time. Qualified candidates should have some classroom experience and must have successfully passed all background checks as appropriate for school personnel.
