Even though our school is closed, Wakefield found a way to deliver some good news today. Mrs. Harper, Dr. Fuchs, and Mrs. Winick made surprise visits to the homes of four Seniors to announce that they are top of their 2020 class.
We already knew this was a unique class for so many reasons, but even this year’s announcement of Valedictorian and Salutatorian is extraordinary. Wakefield is happy to announce that we have co-Valedictorians, Chelsea Mulkerin and James Reid and co-Salutatorians, Gabby Handford and Joseph Maraska.
This is not the first time that Wakefield School has had co-Valedictorians, but it is the first time in history that we have a tie for both titles. One would only expect a history making moment from the Class of 2020!
Congratulations, Chelsea, James, Gabby and Joseph!! May you and the rest of the Class of 2020, continue to seek the challenge, make a difference, and live extraordinary lives!
