Below is our general admission process:

1. Inquire

To inquire about Wakefield School, please fill out this form, call (540) 253-7600, or email, to let us know you are interested.

2. Visit Campus

We think the best way for you to choose a school for your child is to see it first hand — and we want to meet you! A campus visit/tour is a required step in the admission process. To make an appointment, call (540) 253-7600, email

The best time to tour the school and visit classrooms is Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 2:30pm. However, our Admissions Office is open 8:00am until 4:00pm and therefore we can accommodate most schedules.

We also welcome a Shadow Day for rising 3rd through 12th grades. This is an opportunity for your child/ren to experience the school for a half day or full day. They will be assigned a shadow buddy for the half or full day that will show them around and make sure they are introduced to students and teachers. The shadow day can be arranged with the admissions office. All students that shadow MUST have completed the admissions application. The teacher recommendations, testing and transcripts can be sent after the shadow day.
