Booster Club

Wakefield has a wonderful community of volunteers who support our children's activities throughout the year.

W

ho We Are:  Organized in 2000, the Booster Club provides support for students, faculty, staff, coaches, and parents for all Upper School athletics and performing arts events.

Our Mission:  "...to cultivate loyalty and 'esprit de corps' among the members of the Wakefield community and to provide financial assistance for the specific resource needs that are identified by athletic and arts coaches, faculty, and students."

What We Do:  The Booster Club sells concessions and branded items at events throughout the school year.  We support our athletes and theater performers through the work and dedication of the many volunteers, team parents, and committee coordinators.

June, 2009 - Quote from Mrs. Chris Mulligan, Head of Arts Department on the monetary gift from the Booster Club:

"...I purchased safety railings and one set of safety stairs for the stage platforms.  These were used at the Kindergarten, Lower and Middle School Closing ceremonies, the Arts and Sports Banquets, and the Senior Dinner---as well as at all of the rehearsals for each of these end-of-the-year events. This is important equipment that I've wanted to purchase for years for the sake of safety of all members of the community (students, faculty, staff, and guests) and the Booster Club made it finally possible this year!  My deepest thanks to you and the entire Booster Club organization for your generous gift.  It directly benefits the entire school community which is always my priority in spending gift funds from the Booster Club."
