Our Community

The vibrancy of the Wakefield community is rooted in the wide variety of activities and interests of our Students and Faculty. From interscholastic athletics events like the Life and Breath Basketball Tournament, to Discovery Week experiences that take them out into the community, to Mardi Gras festivities and the unique lessons of Immigration Day, they work and play together to weave learning into the fabric of daily life.

Supporting all the activities that occur at Wakefield for students from age four to 18 is a strong community of Parents, grandparents, and extended family members. In addition to bringing treats for class parties, decorating for dances, and selling concessions at athletics and performing arts events, these inventive volunteers also create and orchestrate adult activities and events that build bonds within the community and even raise funds for extra resources for the school.

The symbiosis of all these energies results in Alumni who are the best testament to the richness of the Wakefield experience. Their matriculation into a long list of fine colleges and universities is followed by a fascinating array of achievements in their lives.
