Editorial: Please, Stop The Vandalism

Graffiti is common at many schools, yet has never been a problem here at Wakefield. Recently, however, there has been a string of vandalisms in the Upper and Middle School bathrooms. These embarrassing pictures are a shame to our school.

Wakefield’s Outlook on the Swine Flu Health Threat

Due to the alarming nature of the H1N1 virus and the fact that there is no vaccine, the outbreak of swine flu has caused many people around the world to panic. The H1N1 virus has now spread to a total of 40 countries, infecting 11,168 and killing 86 people, according to the World Health Organization. The United States, with 5,469 confirmed cases, has the highest number of swine flu cases in the world (WHO). During the first few weeks of learning about the virus, many people were alarmed by what they were told about it. However, now that the news has been able settle in, many people believe that there is nothing to worry about.

Look around you for a moment. You see a large number of folks out for a night of quality theatre. They are expecting a show that will awe and excite them, allow for laughter and tenderness, and let them leave having experienced a sense of catharsis. When an audience comes to any Wakefield performance they expect to see the best possible show that we can produce. This is not the same at every school.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Review: You Need to See This Movie

Hugh Jackman resumes the role of Wolverine in this new addition to X-Men film franchise. X-Men Origins: Wolverine follows the beginning of Wolverine’s journey before he lost his memory, which was mentioned in the first of the X-Men movies. This film begins with Wolverine running away with his brother; they go on to protect each other through the multiple wars. The brothers eventually become part of a special task force created by William Stryker, played by Danny Huston. After the first mission, Wolverine quits and goes to live in Canada. After the love of his life is murdered, however, Wolverine goes out for revenge. As a result, he fights just about everyone.
