Eric Wilson Breaks Record

January 28, 2010

Coming into the game this past Tuesday against Southside Baptist Christian School, senior Eric Wilson needed just six points to break the all-time school record for most points scored during a player's basketball career here at Wakefield School. The record, 1243, held by Winnie Duffy, has been secure since 1996.

Eric scored a total of 16 points in the game making his current career total 1253. This record-breaking event came at a perfect time as the boys' varsity basketball team is heading to the U.S. Virgin Islands this weekend to play some additional games, perform community service, as well as allow Eric to go home for a few days. Eric is from the U.S. V.I..

Coach Barron, who has coached Eric throughout his career here at Wakefield School, said, "Congratulations to Eric for achieving this significant accomplishment."
