Thanks to all of the lower school families that helped organize activities and decorations for the gym for Fire Marshal Night! We had a great day with six exciting basketball games against Seton School. The competition was fierce and we split the day evenly with Seton winning three and Wakefield School winning three games. As a coach I can say that the crowd's intensity boosted our team and made for a carnival-like atmosphere! I wanted to thank the honorary varsity team captains, Kevin Dwelly and Alex Parra, who were both awesome!
We raised over $300 dollars for The Plains Volunteer Fire Company in the "Pass the Boot" fundraiser. Also the TV raffle raised $310 fo rthe boys and girls basketball service trip to the US Virgin Islands where the teams will volunteer at an elementary school and also help launch St. Thomas' new Boys and Girls Club initiative. Congratulations go to Mrs. Imogen Rex who won the 32-inch HD LCD TV.
If you missed it, don't worry...we'll do it again next year!
