Wakefield School strives to provide an environment where students can express themselves and their individuality as well as learn to become contributing members within and outside of our community. Our goal is to provide a positive, polite, courteous, and uplifting atmosphere to enable success academically as well as socially.
Every student in Grades 6-12 is assigned a faculty advisor. This advisor is generally a faculty member not teaching your child directly.
There may be occasions when a student needs to talk with someone about a problem or concern he/she may have here at school or outside of school. We have a full-time counselor available on such occasions.
Student Counseling
Wakefield School supports parents, students, and families needing short-term assistance and counseling resources for life changes, social skills, and other adjustments associated with school. The counseling staff for Lower, Middle and Upper Schools are licensed professionals. They are available to assist students and families as needs arise throughout the year.
Learning Solutions
The Wakefield School Learning Support Department is dedicated to helping students with learning differences realize their fullest academic and social potential within our community. We provide the opportunity for students to appropriately exercise their creative aptitude and to experience the sense of accomplishment that comes from hard work leading to personal success.
