Visiting Wakefield School is one of the best ways to get to know our community.
-
When you come to Wakefield for an admission visit, all visitors will tour the campus with a member of the Red Key Club (our student admission ambassadors). Students entering grades 4-12 will have an admission interview, and all parents will have an admission interview.
Lower School students entering grades 2-5 are required to spend a day visiting the school. They will visit with their current grade and will be able to complete their admission test as well. When visiting for the day, students should arrive in the admission office at 8:25am and should be picked up in the admission office at 2:45pm. Students should bring their lunch as well as wear appropriate clothes for going outside during recess.
Middle School and Upper School students entering grades 6-12 are invited and encouraged to spend a partial day visiting classes. Their parents are welcome also. Students should arrive at 9:15am. During the day, students will receive a tour and be able to attend a class. Students should wear khaki, or similar chino pants, and either a polo shirt or button down collared shirt. (Sneakers are fine.) If it is cold, they may bring a sweater too!
While we strongly encourage you to visit while school is in session, we may be able to accommodate a limited number of visits during school vacation and holidays. To schedule an admission visit, call (540)253-7600 or email.
